My services

Some of the most common life mental health struggles I have treated are issues relating to anxiety, depression, ADHD/autism, and loss/grief.

Piorun Psychology does not offer crisis services. If you are experiencing a crisis, including thoughts of self-harm or suicide, please contact 000 immediately or visit the nearest Accident & Emergency (A&E) department of your local hospital for urgent assistance. I also have some other contact numbers if you are experiencing a crisis.

What to expect from your sessions:

I offer therapy services to adults either in-person or via Telehealth

Anxiety

A natural human response to stress or perceived danger, often expressed by feelings of worry, nervousness, or fear. While occasional anxiety is a normal part of life, excessive and persistent anxiety can interfere with daily activities and may develop into an anxiety disorder.

Depression

A condition affecting how a person feels, thinks, and handles daily activities. More than feeling sad or having a bad day. Depression is identified as persistent and often overwhelming state of sadness, hopelessness, and disinterest in life.

ADHD/Autism

Often classified as a neurodivergent brain type, people who have been diagnosed with ADHD or autism process their environment and relate to others differently. It is not unusual for people who have neurodivergent brain types to have different strengths and weaknesses and health struggles.

Loss/Grief

Loss and grief are part of life experiences and are not only felt after the death of a loved one or pet. The same emotional, physical and social responses can also be felt at the end of a relationship, during significant life events like retirement or loss of a job. They also can be felt when facing a serious illness. Sometimes the feelings around loss and grief are difficult to process and develop into significant health issues.

Telehealth

Are sessions that are conducted via video calls. This service is ideal for people who are not able to attend face-to-face sessions.

Telehealth sessions require a device that has a stable connection to the internet. Please choose a comfortable location for your telehealth appointment where you won’t be disturbed. The video call programs that I use have end-to-end encryption to ensure your privacy, but you will need to make sure your physical location is private.

To ensure a duty of care is maintained I need to have details such as a phone number to contact you and emergency contact details. If the call drops out at any point I would like to make sure you have support.
